DAVID ROSADO | Willy Overdose

23 January 2020 - 29 February 2020

We proudly present the work of portuguese pop-artist David Rosado (b. 1976).

David lives and works in Lisbon. His work is inspired by popular culture and childhood icons, like the dwarfs from Snow White, and Willy the whale, which lets the viewer immerge into childhood memories. Rosado is creating a false sense of puzzle through the incorporation of elements like "painting by numbers" (Malen nach Zahlen) and generally through his fraction-like painting methods. It can be noted that his paintings always seem to show merely an extract of a total image. His art evokes playfulness as much as a joy of colour and demonstrates an eye for detail.
