EDUARDO HOFFMANN
"ENTRETELONES"
21 October - 21 November 2020
Eduardo Hoffmann (b. 1957) is an argentinian painter born in Mendoza, Argentina.
He studied painting at the Faculty of Art at the National University of Cuyo in Argentina.
After his major exhibition at the Cajasol Foundation in Sevilla, Spain, we are pleased to show this curated selection of works in Luxembourg together with VF Art Projects.
The artist is a great figure of Latin American contemporary art and has had numerous exhibitions around the world, amongst others in London, New York, Vienna, Paris, Brussels and Venice and also in international contemporary art museums such as the MoCA in Beijing. His large-format abstract works can be found in many private and public collections. Eduardo Hoffmann's paintings offer the spectator an experience of visual vertigo. His works attract the viewer by the brightness of colors and the dynamism of brushstrokes that emerge into translucent color fields.
Using a special technique where he paints on the back of Mylar, a light and transparent material, that he then puts onto canvas, he creates a unique body of work.
